Metal seals

Metal seals form a special group of sealing components. Their application is often found in high demanding appliances e.g. in environments with high temperatures, with aggressive media, in applications where cleanroom cleanliness is essential and between flanges in ultra high or low pressure environments. In many cases metal seals can seal where elastomers and polymers properties stop.

To incorporate metal seals into your appliance, engineering attention is required. Frequently, FEA analysis are used to analyse the application and determine the wall-thickness, the alloys, the cross section and the shape of the seals.
