Dynamic seals

Dynamic seals are found in applications where components move, need to be fixated in the appliance and media need to be controlled inside and outside of the applications. Rotary shaft seals (oil seals) for example are used to keep dirt out and lubricant inside of the application. Or hydraulic seals (piston and rod seals) are used to control the movement of the various components, reduce friction and keep dirt out and lubricant inside.

Oil seals are often manufactured as a rubber moulded part, combined with a metal or plastic support ring. In some cases where cleanliness is of importance, media are aggressive and temperatures go high up, rotary seals are also produced in high tech plastics e.g. PTFE.

Hydraulic seals often are catalogue parts, to be bought from one of the world wide market leaders. These seals are no part of the SealTec Products portfolio.
